Behind the scenes Goldsborough Hall Fashion shoot for Yorkshire Life Magazine

Amber Marie Barker – Fashion Photographer Yorkshire

I would have expected my wedding photography to lead me to shooting at the beautiful Goldsborough Hall, but I was just as excited to be working here with Yorkshire Life Magazine on their Spring Fling editorial.

Thank you Sarah for sharing the behind the scenes video with me which has definitely brightened up this cloudy Monday.

Yorkshire Life’s Spring’16 issue goes on sale April 21st, so make sure you grab a copy!

Brodie Cashmere SS’16 Look book // Fashion Photography Leeds

Here is a small selection of the fashion photography I created for, Leeds based Brodie Cashmere’s SS’16 look book. I created all of the still life and modelled fashion photography for this project so it was great to see them side by side in print. For this project Brodie wanted to maintain a rustic feel whilst showing their designs were versatile across different age ranges and personal styles. I’m most confident working in the studio so it was great to work on a project that took me out of comfort zone and put my lighting skills and project management skills to the test. The shoot was set in the rolling hills of West Yorkshire, just outside of Leeds. All in all we captured around 8 different models, two very springy spaniels and around 50 different pieces on the day and below are some of my favourite shots.

Lost Girl Editorial by Leeds Fashion Photographer

The Lost Girl shoot is a concept I’ve been wanting to shoot for a while so it was fantastic to schedule in some time to bring the story to life. The Lost Girl draws inspiration from Carroll’s Alice and portrays the story of a girl in a woman’s body and juxtaposes being lost with freedom and playfulness with boredom. The shoot was set in a private isolated grounds with signs of past human intervention within the landscape creating a forgotten world. Thanks as always to the wonderful team below.

Fragile Fashion Editorial // Leeds Fashion Photographer

Allegra, a Milan based stylist, reached out to West Yorkshire fashion photographers in late 2015 to collaborate on her Fragile fashion editorial. The concept and mood behind the photoshoot was to create a portrait series that conveyed raw and intimate emotions in an unusual manner. To reflect the mood the styling focussed on sheer, delicate fabrics mirrored by their soft colours and shapes. Whilst I used soft flat lighting to work with the hazy hues and concentrated on unusual crops and poses to create contrasting compositions to the delicate styling of the shoot. Thanks again to the wonderful team for their work on the day, who’s details you can find below.
